MOSIUR Rankings Show the Social Impact of BRICS Universities

The latest edition of the University Three Missions Ranking (MosIUR) now includes 1800 institutions. It provides an opportunity for universities outside the traditional elite to demonstrate their social impact.

The ranking is based on three missions with the following indicators:

Education; comprising international student contests, international students, budget to student ratio, and student to academic staff ratio

Research: IREG List awards to staff and alumni, normalised citation impact at global and international levels, research income per academic staff

University and Society; massive open online courses, share of total national publications, website pages indexed by search engines, views of university Wikipedia page, number of followers in social media, number of alumni with Wikipedia article, university website reach, and transparency.

The largest number of entrants are from the USA, followed by China, Russia, the UK, and Japan. Harvard is in first place, followed by MIT, Cambridge, Oxford, and University College London.
