IREG 2022 Conference met in Warsaw

After the two years of the COVID pandemic IREG 2022 Conference met again in person. Some 150 HE experts from all over the world debated the “Academic Rankings at the Crossroads” in the Old Library of the University of Warsaw, 23-24 June. The key presentations were made by: Micheal Murphy, head of the European University Associations (EUA), Komiljon Karimov, Uzbekistan deputy minister of education, and Marek Kwiek from University of Poznan (AMU). The plenary sessions were chaired by: Ellen Hazelkorn (Ireland), Alex Usher (Canada), Zygmunt Lalak (UW), Thomas Parker (USA) and Luiz Claudio Costa (Brazil).
Among the speakers were: Phil Baty (UK), Robert Morse (USA), Ying Cheng (China), Gero Federkeil (Germany), Simon Marginson (UK), Michail Zgurowski (Ukraine), Brendan Cantwell (USA), Riri Fitri Sari (Indonesia), Gillian Golden (OECD) and Grzegorz Mazurek Poland).

Andrzej Kozminski, Rector of Kozminski University, who in 2002 hosted the world’s first conference on rankings in Warsaw was presented with the IREG Honorary Medal.
