1,477 universities from across the globe participated in the rankings with nearly 300 new universities, including institutions from 11 new countries in Africa and Asia. The growing number of universities interested in the ranking highlights the expanding global reach and dedication of academic community to sustainability. It demonstrates the role of universities as leaders in fostering behavioral change and advancing sustainability.
