PS: Political Science and Politics, a journal published by Cambridge University Press, has just published an article by Joan Barceló, Chistopher Paik, Peter van der Windt, and Haoyu Zhai, ‘A Global Ranking of Research Productivity of Political Science Departments’.
The article presents a ranking of the research productivity of political science departments. The metrics are citations of articles by department members, journal impact factor, top publications, recent citations, recent impact, and recent top publications. The departments ranked were those included in the QS subject rankings and the database was derived from articles and books listed in faculty CVs, Google Scholar, and Journal Citation Report.
Tables are presented for six regions: North America, Europe, Asia, Oceania, Latin America, and Africa.
The article lists universities that were ranked in the top ten for all six indicators in their region:
