IREG Observatory on Academic Ranking and Excellence organizes a competition to recognize an outstanding PhD conducted in the area of academic ranking.

The prize for the winner of the competition is a grant of 2.000 euro. In addition, the awardee can have the opportunity to present his/her research at the annual IREG Conference.

The PhD thesis will be evaluated according to the following criteria:

• Quality and originality of analysis
• Contribution to good practice in academic ranking
