The General Assembly of IREG Observatory on Academic Ranking and Excellence meeting in Warsaw, Poland on 24 June, elected Waldemar Siwinski (Poland) its president and members of the Executive Committee for the term in office 2022-2026.  Gero Federkeil, head of Multirank (Germany), became the vice president. The Executive Committee also include Ying Chen co-creator of the Shanghai Ranking (China); Bob Morse, author of the first world ranking “US News Best Colleges Ranking” (USA), and representatives of universities: Mirko Degli Esposti, University of Bologna (Italy), Mukash Burkitbayev Al Farabi University in Almaty (Kazakhstan), Birte Hornemann Aalborg University (Denmark), Gyorgy Fabri,. ELTE University (Hungary), and Habib Fardoun, King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia). Kazimierz Bilanow was re-appointed as the executive director.
