The Financial Times Business School Rankings are published annually and include Online MBA, Executive Education Custom, Masters in Finance pre-experience, Masters in Management, and MBA rankings. 

The MBA rankings are closely watched by business schools and the media and there are currently 21 indicators grouped in the following categories:

  • Career progression
  • Programme assessment
  • Diversity assessment
  • International opportunities
  • Faculty expertise.

The USA and Western Europe continue to hold a strong position in these rankings with MIT: Sloan, USA, in first place and Insead, France, second and IESE Business School, Spain, third. However, several Asian schools have posted strong performances:  Ceibs, China, is now in the top ten in eighth place, and Nanyang Business School, NTU Singapore and the Indian School of Business share the number 12 spot.

Harvard Business School, which held first place in 2015, is now in tenth place. University of Cambridge: Judge and University of Chicago: Booth have also suffered significant declines in the last decade.

The top five schools in the latest rankings are:

1.   MIT: Sloan, USA

2.   Insead, France

3.   University of Pennsylvania: Wharton, USA

4=  IESE Business School, Spain

4=  London Business School.
