URAP Turkish University Ranking publishes General Ranking of all Universities (HERE) and the following seven rankings according to university qualifications:

• State Universities (HERE) 
• Foundation Universities (HERE)
• Universities with Medical Faculties (HERE)
• Universities without Medical Faculties (HERE)
• Universities established before 2000 (HERE)
• Universities established after 2000 (HERE)
• Universities with less than 6000 students (HERE)

The primary reason for classifying universities by their qualifications is to assign each institution the recognition it deserves, ensuring a fair and accurate ranking. This approach enables universities to benchmark their academic performance against other institutions of similar quality.

1. Foundation and State Universities
2. Number of Academic Publications: Universities with medical faculties often rank higher in terms of publication volume in the medical field, which allows for an objective assessment of their academic achievements.
3. Number of Students: Universities with fewer than 6,000 students are classified to reflect the institution’s size. The ratio of students to faculty members indicates the university's capacity to offer personalized attention to students. Criteria such as doctoral student metrics are also considered in this analysis.
4. Date of Establishment: This criterion allows for comparisons between universities established after 2000 and those founded earlier. For newer universities, publication trends and cumulative achievements are compared with those of other institutions with similar founding dates.

Factors such as Web of Science/InCites, the number of faculty members/students published by YÖK and TÜBİTAK ARDEB project data are used for Turkey's rankings. The following 15 indicators are considered in the general ranking:

• Number of Articles: Total articles with a maximum of 1,000 authors published in journals indexed in SCI, SSCI, and AHCI in 2023, within the top 75% segment (Q1, Q2, and Q3) based on activity multiplier.
• Number of Articles per Faculty Member: Number of articles (up to 1,000 authors) in SCI, SSCI, and AHCI-indexed journals for 2023, in the top 75% by activity multiplier, divided by the total number of faculty members for 2023-2024.
• Number of Citations: Total citations received for scientific documents with up to 1,000 authors from 2019 to 2023. (All citations to relevant documents are included in the evaluation.)
• Number of Citations per Faculty Member: Total citations for scientific documents (up to 1,000 authors) from 2019-2023, divided by the total number of faculty members in 2023-2024.
• Total Number of Scientific Documents: The cumulative number of publications, reports, and other scientific documents produced between 2019-2023.
• Total Number of Scientific Documents per Faculty Member: Total publications, reports, etc., from 2019-2023 divided by the number of faculty members in 2023-2024.
• Number of PhD Graduates: Total PhD graduates in the 2022-2023 academic year.
• PhD Student Ratio: Number of PhD students in the 2023-2024 academic year divided by the total student population during the same period.
• Number of Students per Faculty Member: Total students in the 2023-2024 academic year divided by the number of faculty members for that year.
• Number of International Joint Articles: Total articles (up to 1,000 authors) co-authored with universities abroad between 2019-2023.
• Number of International Joint Articles per Faculty Member: Total international joint articles (up to 1,000 authors) from 2019-2023 divided by the number of faculty members in 2023-2024.
• Number of Domestic Joint Articles: Total articles (up to 1,000 authors) co-authored with other domestic universities between 2019-2023.
• Number of Domestic Joint Articles per Faculty Member: Total domestic joint articles (up to 1,000 authors) from 2019-2023 divided by the number of faculty members in 2023-2024.
• Number of Projects from TÜBİTAK: Total projects received from TÜBİTAK between 2019-2023.
• Number of Projects from TÜBİTAK per Faculty Member: Total TÜBİTAK projects received between 2019-2023 divided by the number of faculty members in 2023-2024.

The indicators used in Türkiye's ranking have equal weight percentages.
