Dr. Edmund Adam of University of Toronto, Canada is a winner in the IREG Competition for the Best PhD Theses on Academic Ranking 2021. The Jury called by the Executive Committee of IREG Observatory on Academic Ranking and Excellence after reviewing the submitted works chose the theses “A study of the influence of global rankings on institutional strategies, decision-making, and policy choice: The case of four Canadian research universities” and the follow up aticle “Governments performance-based funding on global rankings indicators’: A global trend in higher education finance or a global rankings literature fiction?”. Dr. Edmund Adam is affiliated with Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (Higher Education), University of Toronto.
